Re: RH3 hammer mechanics is fundamentally FLAWED!!
Does it really matter so much? As long as it does not fall off, and does its work well, i wouldn't mind.sparkie wrote: The data wheel problem was only remedied..they changed the inside to make it fit tighter, but I think the knob and action is still really cheesy compared to the M3 or Oasys!!

Might be true, can also be a mechanical problem, it's hard to say now. I must say I haven't noticed it when playing a 73 in a store but I did not test it very thoroughly.Bertotti wrote:I wonder how many other keybeds, of other keyboards both Korg and it's cOnpetition have or had this double trigger problem, but had used a software solution to fix it before launch and no has ever noticed? I think it might also be just an inherent problem of and electronic keyed.
If it is a double bouncing problem it can be easily solved by software as long as the bouncing times are short enough that it cannot be played by humans on purpose.

Sorry to say.... you can add my K88 to the list of those experiencing note cutoffs. It did it once or twice about 3 weeks ago. The problem has been happening with greater frequency now. In fact, the other day I couldn't even play a song through without it occurring multiple times. I turned the power off, unplugged the power cord, then restarted everything. It was fine for a while but the problem came back again. I don't know if its reliable enough at this point for me to record a studio performance... which I'm planning on doing, but I won't be a happy camper if its not
Rather than take it to a service center, I'll wait to see if OS 1.5 fixes this problem. I can't imagine it being a keybed or mechanical problem if its that intermittent - not to mention that RH3 is not unique to the Kronos.

You know that this is a independent Korg forum and not a official one.Korgstream wrote:Korg is making a big mistake now.
They pretend that nothing is happening.
But almost every day brings new reports of various defects of Kronos.
Just read this forum.
Korg silence is stupidity or cowardice. That's my opinion.

But i have two thoughts about this:
1. On the official Korg web-site i saw a link to this forum. That's how I found out about this forum. If Korg recommend this forum for discussing about Korg product, so I understand that this forum is not a underground illegal place, right? This forum Korg called as "is a great place to keep up with all things Korg." and "WELCOME TO THE KORG COMMUNITY... Forums are the voice – no, the voices – of experience. These online communities allow you to interact with the musicians, artists and producers who use their Korg instruments and musical products to their fullest, day in and day out. Stop in and visit. You can pick-up some tips and pointers, ask questions, or you can share your own insights and help everyone have a better musical experience." Look here yourself http://www.korg.com/Community
2. In this forum there are official Korg staff and I believe that they send to Korg information about a lot of cases of defects, which are described here.
Several users wrote that this forum is regularly read by Korg staff. This is logical and understandable - to read opinions about Korg products.

Very sad to hear about these continuing problems. I fully intended to buy a 61 later this year or early next year to replace the 73 I had but I'll be waiting to see how all this shakes out.
I just picked up a PC3 as a new controller and I think that and a K61 would make a killer combo! I just hope down the road the current RH3 owners don't run into problems. That would be bad.

Yeah that would be bad! Its certainly something I'm watching out for. I'm actually glad that most issues I've heard of are "out-of-the-box" things when the Kronos is first turned on!dregsor wrote:

PianoMan is the first i've actually heard of something happening after initial inspection!
PC3 would make a killer combo - but I'm holding out for the K3000!
