Sorry to ear about your problem vainglorious
as you know I have the same, I reside in
Canada (Laval Québec ) so I don't think
it's a location problem.
I verified the information from my registration
even ask for my password to be send to me
by email, no way.
I hope it won't be like that with the 1.5 upgrade, talk about frustration !

I had the same problem at first, and I'm scratching my head now to remember how I solved it.
If I remember right, it was this:
I did not fill all fields (there were silly questions like for birth date and profession). The registration went fine without filling these fields, but kept me in the loop without allowing checkout.
Then I detected, that despite accepted registration the "state" field or something still had to be filled. I filled the field (despite the fact that in Germany we have no states really comparable to US states) and the the registration got me out of the loop and to checkout.
Hope this helps.

You select where to load em, so you can pick the bank yourself.JuneauUnderground wrote:Ok so here is probably a really dumb question, but I'll bet there is at least one other person who wants to know the following:
Do these expansion libraries load in one or more of the empty banks or do they load on top of the presets???

I tried to buy these and failed. And no this is NOT directed at Dan but it mystifies me that we have registered our instruments with Korg - serial numbers and the rest - and still we have to go through this. Okay fine I can accept that but now I am really confused as to whether I should use lower case, upper case, leave out profession, pray to yaks ...
Ahimsa,
Vlad
PS: I REALLY hope this will be ironed out for OS 1.15

Can't tell you for sure what to do but
you have to use all the fields I did not
use the second address field the first time
and even if I had the message ''register''
It did not work, and don't use capital letters.
It's kind of silly to ask for serial........
who cares we pay for it ! What I fear the
most is the arrival of 1.5 there will be
much more traffic..............
I hope this help.

I don't understand why in the world the registration requirement is mandatory. This doesn't achieve anything but complicates the workflow. Stupid business management folks sometimes tend to over engineer the technicalities. It is so much easy to sell simple things better.
Is there a return policy related to purchases of these libraries?
I'm holding off buying these until 1.5 is out.

Can you give an example or define the better way, before starting to offend Korg?kron wrote:I don't understand why in the world the registration requirement is mandatory. I also am not sure why there is a registration, because it probably is a PCG and these can be saved from any Kronos and read by any (other) Kronos. Unless there is information in the PCG containing information about the user ID.
I have no clue if PCG Tools would work with such file in that case. And I defeneately do not want people to copy (illegaly) PCG content from original PCG in this case.

Asking for registration (for things like downloading free OS updates) is very stupid decision. I (and I'm sure most other people) hate everything that requires any kind of registration, and it's sad that Korg management doesn't understand this. Make it easy for people, not put obstacles before them, especially if those people paid your company thousands of dollars.
Especially when they are asking for both public ID and serial number. Come on, why the hell you need both... I have to completely remove Kronos from its place to take a look at its back panel to read the serial number, and without it Korg doesn't allow me to register... it's very silly.

There are million better ways.michelkeijzers wrote:Can you give an example or define the better way, before starting to offend Korg?
For example:
Require no registartion for anything that's already free.
For paid products, tie them to public ID so they are not copyable, and just make a field to enter public ID on purchase form, then after purchase generate and send password to my email so that I can go and re-download it in case I lose the file (i.e. basically combine registering with purchasing).
