Any rumors about new stuff at NAMM 2012 ???

Post by ExaJeff »

Hi guys !

I'm really surprised... :?

So far, I haven't seen any rumors here about what will come out at the next NAMM in January 2012...

I'm especially interested in what Korg and Roland will come out with... :D

My ultimate wish would be a small Korg keytar with mini-keys. Korg puts out mini-keys everywhere we don't want to but in this case, it would really make sense ! A small portable keytar 3 1/2 octave mini-keys. It could be based on the Microkorg XL or with the sound set of the Micro X for example. And with a small quality speaker to practice anywhere in the house. It would be great !!! :D lolll

When I was young, I had such a great time with a Yamaha SHS-10. So something, just a little bigger but smaller than a Roland AX-Synth would be perfect !!! What do you think ??? :P
TGFK - Thanks God For Korg

Always rumors... no facts obviously. Some of us are expecting a Kronos spin-off to replace the M3.

I've heard rumors that Kurzweil is working on a new workstation to replace the 2600 series--but of course those rumors have been in circulation for over 5 years now.

Naturally, Yamaha may (hopefully) retire the Motif and release a whole new workstation with a user-friendly interface, but we're not holding our breath.

Roland? Meh.

Korg are a bit like Apple in that they rarely if ever leak, literally, anything before a time of their choosing.

I hope Yamaha and Roland present real contenders to the Kronos.

They've already released as the "iKaossilator" app:

New modules for the Kronos, like BRS1 (Brass) and GTR1 (Guitar), I think those two are even with other synths, while the rest is mainly better.
