Keyboard - how does temperature and humidity affect it?

Post by Mexer »

Hi!

I've got a brand new SP170s and I placed it at about 15 cm (6 inches) from a room wall heater which is right below my main room window.

The manual says that the keyboard should not be placed in places with extreme temperatures and humidity... But it only gets just a bit warmer on the back side...As for humidity I think there is almost none.

Should I move it to a different place? The temperature in the back doesn't really get higher with more than 5 C so I don't think it's "extreme" ...

I've never concerned about working temperature ... when it is used for gigging it can be from cole outside to a hot indoor bar and it should work in both cases.
