Changing the picture on the screen...

Post by Sequenzzer »

This seems like a dumb question, but I would like to change the display screen on my trinity when I power up,and need information on:

1)What format and maximum size does the display accept?(jpg,bmp,etc...)

2)How do I actually load the file into the unit?

Thank you all for the great help in the past...I posted previously about replacing the battery, and **THANKS AGAIN** to MusiKman... He was a tremendous help in resolving that issue!

Are you sure it is possible to do such thing? I don't think later models can do it.

I don't know if this helps,I have a v3 model with the latest OS installed.

I really never heard of someone who tried to change it (let alone succeeded in it).

Would be amazing if you could. :)

It's not a user accessible option. That's not to say it couldn't necessarily be hacked.

But it most certainly wouldn't be a JPG! It's of a 2-bit colour raster/bitmap graphics type. It could even be custom system text characters bolted together instead of pure graphics.

It probably can only be changed by an OS firmware update and probably it's not system text, but just a hardcoded bitmap or screen image byte array.

LOL. Maybe a few more slaps? I was kinda leaning towards happy big fun bags on the screen, and since it is a touchscreen,to put my finger here and there, left circle, right circle...Would take the doldrum out of programming sounds for a while.
