I upgraded to 1.1.0 and I think that's the latest version.

I do not have the Karma for my M50 yet but am gietting it sometime in January. I do have it for my triton Le however, and can tell you it is most definately worth it. There are a few youtube video's of karma m50 out there but just four I think all from the same guy. I really wish I could have found more, but given I already knew what it did for my triton and that the m50 karma is more advances with many more scene settings for it I can hardly wait to get my hands on it...
I am going to go look for the vid links for you to check out in a bit..

I don't have the Karma software for the M50. Currently I have Karma for my Kronos (it's built in). However, since I mostly use it for gigging I don't feel the need for Karma, although it's a nice 'fun factor'. It's nice to play along with Karma in your own though and it has a nice fun factor.

On the other hand, I have not taken the time to dive into Karma that much.

thanks CST and Michel. does the karma effect the sounds straightaway or does it just allow more programming,im not sure what it actually does from a practical point as im still getting to grips with the M50 after 2 days:)

It is a midi data generator. In a similar way that an arpeggiator generates notes, Karma generates not just notes but all sorts of midi data (like controller sweeps or patterns that could control things like filter and such), and you can influence or randomize many parameters (such as note order or length, etc).

This one is from the reincarnated exp pack that you can get for add on sounds, just to give you an example of what the software can do. The editing power of the software is very deep. The sofware gives your m50 all of the karma power of an M3 factory set. I like to use karma factory and tweak them myself changing the paramaters to suit my liking...
