Programme sounds in DAW
Sorry, if this is a newbie question that results in an RTFM-comment, but I'm kind of lost here. When I use programme sounds in a DAW (Cubase 5 + my Kronos is in sequencer mode), the sounds sound dry. There aren't any of the effects that are used in the programme mode. So is there an easy way of transferring all the effects used in programme mode directly in the Kronos sequencer mode? Or do I have to set up manually the same effects every time when switching from programme to sequencer mode?

Re: Programme sounds in DAW
This is the most common question since the workstation was created decades ago.Kim wrote:Sorry, if this is a newbie question that results in an RTFM-comment, but I'm kind of lost here. Simple asnwer is, yes you will have to manually set effects routing in sequencer mode. KRONOS can help you do that. There are two features you can use:
1. Effects Presets. Each IFX has presets you can access from the drop down menu when in IFX.
2. Copy IFX settings from Program/Combi: You can copy IFX settings from program mode into Sequencer. But, please remember that you have same number of effects processors in all modes. You don't get 16 times more IFXs in sequencer mode. You still have 12 IFXs. So if you want to copy 4 programs, each of them using 4 IFXs... you can't.
But, you still have do set the routing. KRONOS doesn't know your song. So, you will have to tell KRONOS which program to route to which IFX... etc.
There are countless number of posts about this topic all over the internet for all workstations, not just KRONOS.

Luckily the Kronos doesn't use as many effects as previous models used to do ... and even if you cannot copy an IFX the basic sound still sounds good. The best way is to combine via routing the sound to an existing IFX that sounds more or like the same.
