Nope. I just tried the FXpansion VST to RTAS "wrapper" method, and no luck. It wraps successfully, but Pro Tools (version 10) chokes when inserting the plugin. Infinite hang.
This is a major bummer for any Pro Tool user who owns a Kronos.
Pro: People with poor vision and bad backs now have another option (I think that is about it for the pros)
Con: Does not enhance or expand the Kronos user experience in any way, that I can tell. This was a squandered opportunity to be innovative, and be seen as innovative. Korg's iOS apps are innovative. They take a concept and expand on it. This expends nothing.
Con: To me, using SoundQuest is more of an image blunder than anything. The Kronos is like a cross between a Ferrari and a Swiss Army Knife. SoundQuest makes products that more closely resemble a Walmart Brand can opener. It's an embarrassment to Korg and its proponents.
I have to agree with those that say it boils down to an issue with vision. Korg has proven that it can be visionary, but this editor majorly calls that into question.
Its great that all of these work hours and financial resources were dedicated to its creattion, but why waste all of those resources. I can only speak for myself, but I would have been happier with an app that had 1/4 of the functionality of this one, but added functionality that improved the user experience, rather than keeping it the same. Comon! Cant a brother at least get a little hard drive access for transferring files back and forth?!
Korg should really have told us "we are making a handicap-accesble ramp for the Kronos".
