What's the trick to getting a profile picture on here?

I shrunk it to 65px or less in both x and y, the file size is less than 15k, and each time I try either a jpg, png, or gif it tells me: The avatar filetype must be .jpg, .gif or .png

I think it is not working for a long time, it is not your fault.

That was fixed a while back, it is working.

You probably just can't upload from your browser. Put your image online anwhere you like and use the Upload Avatar from a URL and I bet that will work.

I saved the picture you set as my avatar to my desktop, and I get that same error when I try to set that jpg as my avatar.

Sent. I've tried this from 4 computers at work and home, 3 operating systems, 3 browsers, 6 different pictures, all 3 formats.

The file you sent me was "image.jpeg" and not image.jpg

I just renamed it and uploaded it to your profile.

Hah, it was jpeg only because of what gmail did to it. It's jpg on my desktop. There must be something wrong with permissions or some such...

Struggling too (file size, pixel size and file type match the criterias) ... I'll try the Upload-Via-Web trick ... hopefully it'll work.
