Same here. For now I'm fine with the amount of RAM and disk space.michelkeijzers wrote:Guess I try to wait until the warranty period is over and then swap it with this (or 128 GB or more, whatever what is possible).
There is a second power connector inside Kronos alreaady...qayqaywsx wrote:To anyone who installed two disks so far :
how did you get the second sdd powered ?
I think Im blind , or is there second power cable at the power supply ?
Or did you use an Y-adapter ?
Just wanted to clarify this before I install a second disk tomorrow.
On the other hand I could crimp a second connector to the cable.
Let's see...
(to be honest i already did most 'modding jobs' to my kronos: noiseblocker fan,
ram upgrade, sdd will follow)
It´s bit hidden, but it is on the same cable like the other power connector... just need to pull it out slightly...qayqaywsx wrote:ok then i really was blind
MRedZac thanks for your answer .
Why and more important, How did you do that, if I may ask?qayqaywsx wrote:
(had to change sata port for the original ssd as Kronos booted from the other slot if two ssds are connected.)
Hi Davidb,Why and more important, How did you do that, if I may ask?
I thought that if two SSDs are installed, the system will boot from whetever one needed, with no need to change sata ports nor anything...
I don't know those answers, but my 2 cents:Ermak wrote:Hi !
I want to upgrade my SSD in Kronos and have some questions about the required specifications. It would be nice I you help me:
a) Do I need a 1.8" or a 2.5" SSD ?
b) Do I need a SATA or IDE SSD ?
c) Is it better to buy an async. or a sync. SSD ?
d) Is 6GB suppored by Kronos ?
e) Which is the fastes available SSD at the moment ?
Best regards,
Ermak

d) I don't think an SSD of 6 GB is even sold but why would you want to use such a small SSD while the default is 30 GB?
