Everything Went Wrong Today

Post by PianoManChuck »

"Everything Went Wrong Today" - an original song/composition.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2zdHNZqD6M

The acoustic guitar and the bell were performed on the Korg Kronos.
Piano on a Nord Stage 2.
Bass on a Roland AX1 keytar as a controller.

This is my first original song that actually has vocals (performed by me)... so go easy on me

Thanks in advance for watching, and enjoy!!!!

 I saw the title of this thread and braced myself for someone's rant about the Kronos glitching on a gig. Glad to see its something much better!

little known fact, if you play the video backwards, you will hear a 4 minute rant about sticking keys and an incomplete editor.

I really enjoyed this Chuck!
I hope it wasn't actually inspired by someone truly walking out your door…
Funny thing, parts of the chorus to me sounded somewhat Pink Floyd-ish, minus the Fripp licks… :-)

Thanks Lou. No, it was inspired by a day that everything literally went wrong... the last straw was showing up at a government agency for my annual examination (for the field I'm in) and being told it was postponed a week later (after driving 35 miles each way)... so with a day off (being closed for that exam) I came up with the idea for this song and later revised the words to something more general that everyone could relate to. I've been told by a couple of people the voice sounds Randy Newman'ish, but Pink Floyd? Thanks!!
Anyway... glad you liked it!

Aw Lester... I feel really bad for you... our (outdoor) cat of over 20 years went missing, we haven't seen her in about 4 days now and are afraid the coyotes in our area may have gotten her.
But to actually know your cat died is probably worse, you have my very deepest sympathies.
A broken rib on top of that is even worse! Those usually only hurt when you breathe... must be a heck of a lot worse when you cry :(
OUCH!
Hang in there mate, if you can still play the Kronos, it definitely helps a lot!!
