I'm not sure what you mean however below are some possibilities. For all possibilities: M50 = 1, AX = 2, I assume you get all sounds from the M50 (afaik the AX does not have sound itself).
Connect a MIDI cable from AX out to M50 in.
Possibility 1
- Set up a combi on the M50, timbre 1 using MIDI channel 1
Now sound will only be heard from the M50 keybed
Possibility 2
- Set up a combi on the M50, timbre 1 using MIDI channel 1, timbre 2 using MIDI channel 2
Now sound from timbre 1 will be heard from the M50 keybed, timbre 2 from the AX.
Possibility 3
- Set up a combi on the M50, timbre 1 using MIDI channel 1, timbre 2 using MIDI channel 2, timbre 3 using MIDI channel 1
Now sound from timbre 1 AND 3 will be heard from the M50 keybed, timbre 2 from the AX.
You also can use multiple sounds from either keybed, by assigning them to the correct MIDI channels (you have to copy timbres the hear them on both keybeds), you can also use splits (2 or more sounds on a part of either one keybed), velocity splits (2 or more sounds depending on the velocity you play), stacking (2 or more sounds at the same time), and all combinations of these, as long as you can program it in 16 timbres.
