Using Korg Nano Pad with Krome

I noticed on youtube a couple of guys using a nanopad with the kronos, couldn't tell if it was directly linked but it looked like it was, is this possible as it would be great to add the pads to the krome.

Just to answer my own question and let everyone know.

I had a reply from korg who said the krome does not support usb device connections where as the Kronos does, hence I can't do what I wanted to do but if you have a Kronos you can use usb midi devices attached directly to the keyboard.

B*!!*(&$, now I need to upgrade again.

Not really, I'm happy with my Krome 88.

Sorry, but it is quite usual that a workstation only of 1/3 of the price of the flagship miss some feautres.

Just kidding mate, I know that's the case but I didn't know the kronos had the usb device ports, so I didn't know how they were connecting the nanopad, now I do know and just wanted to share my findings for all to see.

Anyway, Like I said I am happy with the krome.

1.use "MIDI USB Host" see thread and links about it

i wants to buy a Krome and i saw that nanoPAD2 thing on kronos but a question if you use it as MIDI (with an obvious connector USB to MIDI) it will works good?

Glad you like the Krome ... I haven't tried it but it seems a very good price/quality workstation. I have also the M50 which is kind of the predecessor and I like that very much despite its missing features.

You cannot compare ... one is a workstation/synth, the other is a MIDI controller.
