GRIME... i have to disagree with you on this one... The Kronos sales wouldn't have much to do with how they market other gear. They are trying to make money... and there are multiple pieces of gear that allow them to do that.michelkeijzers wrote:I think the MicroKorg is for another audience. Why in the hell do they push the Microkorg like its new. They need the money lol if Kronos was doing so well I can't see them pushing a old synth. Yea Microkorg is a cool synth but jeeezz. For me it does not matter whether the M3 is discontinued or not. Korg will not give us anything new. If they do stop selling it new only will mean the value of the M3 goes down and korg will be come out with cut down versions of KronosDogmatic1010 wrote:Maybe theres already a topic for this but is the M3 truly in the dust with the Triton? The 61, 73, and 88-keys that is. I think the Kronos replaces it, but I'm not sure. I've tried to look up if it is but have been unsuccessful in doing so.
Any ideas?
I also haven't even considered a MicroKorg ... maybe my explanation was not really good but I meant it also like you say.apex wrote:GRIME... i have to disagree with you on this one... There are people that would buy a Kronos and wouldn't EVEN consider a MicroKorg (like me) and then there are people that would love to purchase a microKorg, but have NO means or NO use for a Kronos....
I did not say korg was trying to sell the microkorg to Kronos buyers. Ofcourse if people had a choice they would choose Kronos but, its easier to get people to pay $399 vs $2999apex wrote:GRIME... i have to disagree with you on this one... M3-M is not quite a rack as we know it fitting in standard 19" spaceshefu wrote:As long as the M3-M will remain their only "rack" workstation option, I don't think they'll discontinue it just yet and why should they?

So even when they cease production you can nearly always get spares for them.
