Yes, you can record everything separately, but once you're going to actually record the audio of the Vocoder, you should proceed as I explained with the execption of using (possibly) an Audio Track instead of the audio input. In my case, I tried this with the Drum Track, not with a mic.

Here you can find more information: Vocoder question

With my vocodersound its unpossible to record the dry voice, that sounds like trashmetall ;-) There is a detuning, next you don't get a feeling for a beat which is made by vocoder effect.
Love and peace to everyone :-)

I don't get what you mean by detuning. You don't actually have to sing for the vocoder to work. So unless you play the wrong notes it should always be in tune. Perhaps you switched the carrier and modulator or something?

I would personally prefer to record them separately, to better enhance the sound after recording. But to each his own. Doing it your way frees up the IFX slot at least!

MARPABL thank you that was the solution, it's possible to make multirecord *yipiieeehhhh*

@sanderxpander... Cause my IFX Busses ( REC BUS and FX Control BUS in the Audio Track) were not correct. Before when I want to record the audiotrack, you hear a mix by real voice and vocoder, horrible detuning.

So after recording there are all possibilities to enhance and work with parameters etc...

I'm happy ;-)
Love and peace to everyone :-)
