I found a bug

Post by mf_blues »

I have the Krome 88 which I really like, that said there are a few issues but the one I found the other day is a bugger.

I set my keyboard to memorize the settings when I switch off, well the other day I had global mode enabled when I switched off.

When I switched back on global mode was on and I couldn't disable it, I could toggle from global mode to media mode but I could not disable either in the normal manor.

I performed a reset and that cured the issue, I then tried to replicate the issue and sure enough it did exactly the same again, so I reset again to cure it and I have notified korg uk support about this.

So just be careful not to switch off in global mode when configured to memorize your settings.

Just a heads up.

Cheers

I sugges to email this to Korg support so they can check/react on the (possible) issue.

The memorize settings feature can cause problems on all Korg keyboards that have that function. If anything at all goes wrong that causes a crash then it will usually try to start up at the same place that caused the crash and you immediately crash again. It could be a corrupted PCG, an OS bug or anything. They don't crash very often but when they do the memorize feature can turn a simple restart into a nightmare.

I have already notified Korg UK, maybe they'll be able to fix it in a OS release.

Korg UK themselves will not, but probably the development team of Korg can (should).

Turns out this is not as bad as I first thought, all you need to do to clear it is press the prog or combi buttons and everything goes back to normal.

Still a bug, but only a very minor one.
