Why give away your codes, when you could have sold them for ½ price?
You win something and the Kronos users win something.
Really ?
I bet you wouldn't like it if I were to imposed a membership fee on you for using this site.
It's nice to be nice you know.
There's enough greed in the world to make me endlessly sick. I would much prefer to spend my free time hanging out with you fine folk who share their free time and goodwill with others than spend even a second in a room with someone who saw a business opportunity in everything.

What do you mean by "credits" and what would you get back from Kronos owners, other than a quick "thanks"?

Of course not, but I would pay for something and receive a service.
Mind you, you have asked before about donations to help you out a little, which I contributed, so I've given a little (not much) with regards to economics of this site.
Anyway, I didn't mean my questions in a harsh way, I am just wondering why.
.....Still waiting for the allusive, missing EXf for Oasys.....

With credits I mean that I consider Oasys people as very important people. They opened up the way for the Kronos for example. Besides that Oasys owners are mostly more professional than others (meaning that most people cannot afford a Kronos just as a hobby instrument). And it turns out that Oasys owners who paid a lot for the Oasys even give voucher codes for free to others.
About a quick thanks: I did not thank them once but several time. Besides that, in PCG Tools I have created a small window for thanking them, also included in the manual. I know, it's not that much but those voucher donators were mostly not even that interested in having their names mentioned so that is another reason for high regarding them.
Just by way of explanation - I have to be honest, charging for the credits I gave away didn't even occur to me!
Didn't occur because that was not the point.
Here was Korg giving me $750 of credits (in my case) which I knew was never going to be used (not interested in the Kronos at all) so they were going to go to waste.
However, there were people here that had put all they had into getting their dream keyboard, and I just felt that they deserved to get the value of the credits; couldn't bear the thought of them not being used.
So, someone in this community got my credits and enjoyed being able to use them. That made me feel good.
If I'd charged for them it wouldn't have felt right and I wouldn't have had that feel-good factor; and for me, a 'thanks' is enough

+ 1
We haven´t paid for the codes, we didn´t need them, so why not give them away to make someone happy? At the end it is the same like people share their knowledge with the community and give support/advise without charging.

Thanks for writing that Cello!
And thanks for being generous to me, I'd be more than happy to return your favour when opportunity comes.
The credits were a nice gesture, but a waste for myself as I had no intention of buying a Kronos within the timescale anyhow, had there been no expiry date then maybe would have kept them for future use, sadly there was no other option.
I've had my fair share of generosity and been very fortunate in my life so would rather they were cashed in by another user than wasted.
There was never any Intention to cash in on the opportunity,I Dare say such actions would have attracted a very negative reaction in here,if somebody receiving those credits offered to donate something as a goodwill thats different, but I would have never accepted any offer
I'm glad they went to genuine Kronos users who could make use of them.

I thought the time limit was too quick! I knew I really wanted a Kronos, but there was no way I could make the expiration date, as it took me until last October to get it. Right now, I would be happy just to have it working and back from the shop...
