korg trinity pro factory restore factory sounds/settings

Post by korglifeguy »

I need to restore the factory sounds/settings as Ive noticed some of the sounds in this bought used trinity pro as the combi's dont sound right, even though they look to be correctly lined up A001 trinity overture sounds completely wrong and also noticed several others all sound wrong aswell.
Where can I get factory discs as these were not supplied with them, they are not available on the downloads page?

sorry for sounding dense but which folder/pcg files do I need to use from the two folders included for all pre loaded factory sounds and settings.
i have standard trinity pro (no moss)

do I need to use sysex to load it in? are there instructions for this anywhere as not done that before.

also is the extra s bank there aswell?

Sorry, I should have perhaps made it a little clearer.

For Trinitys that have the MOSS-TRI expansion installed, use that folder (Moss).

Otherwise, for all Trinitys that do not have MOSS-TRI, use the other (Solo) folder, even if you don't have the Solo expansion board installed.

However I think the patches in the Moss folder will still load into a Trinity without Moss. The Moss bank would just be skipped.

But yes, the extra bank of Solo patches are included (in the Solo folder).

If you have a PC, you can use Trinitro (free). It's both an editor (similar to SoundDiver) and a librarian.

All you then need is MIDI connectivity. PC <> Trinity.

Trinitro can even open/save native Korg Trinity PCG format files, allowing you to edit and keep all your PCGs on your PC for storage/backup or similar.

It's also especially useful for quickly moving patches around to create custom PCGs containing your favourite patches.

You also can use PCG Tools (free) for managing PCG files.

See the link in my signature below for more info.
