Not to toss any oil on the fire, because I agree that Network1 could have worked past his issues by a thorough reading of the manual, but most of this could've been avoided if the maximum file path length wasn't as small as it is on the Kronos. I understand the technical origin for this, but Network1 is hardly the first one to run into this and I'm sure it has caused countless hours of frustration for many Kronos owners. I really hope this will be permanently solved in a (significant) system update or the next generation of workstations at least.

Not at all. In fact, it's the only way; you can't play audio tracks from a USB drive.william olson wrote:Sounds like to me saving a song to kronos disk is treading dangerous waters.I have not gone that route yet

The "error in writing to medium" message indicates a problem with the disk. Have you tried using the "check medium" command yet?NETWORK1 wrote:Just to Finalize

Latest update
for those of you that might have similar issues in the future
Korg-Returns Send the customer U.P.S. Packaging LABELS & Document,
to affix to the sealed Boxed Unit.
The customer then requests a Collection from U.P.S. Direct.

Looks to me like your finger is too fat to save to the internal disk.NETWORK1 wrote:Just to Finalize

I agree that it would be better to support longer paths.
danatkorg wrote: As I wrote in my previous message, it's not just the length of the file name;
it's the length of the path, which includes the file name and all enclosing directories.
Maby all the Kronos's function independently of each other.
giving different results & outcomes ?
I wonder what the final file/path length, of this little song is ?

Results are quite deterministic.NETWORK1 wrote:danatkorg wrote:

The length of the path includes the file name and the names of all enclosing directories.
