Not to toss any oil on the fire, because I agree that Network1 could have worked past his issues by a thorough reading of the manual, but most of this could've been avoided if the maximum file path length wasn't as small as it is on the Kronos. I understand the technical origin for this, but Network1 is hardly the first one to run into this and I'm sure it has caused countless hours of frustration for many Kronos owners. I really hope this will be permanently solved in a (significant) system update or the next generation of workstations at least.

I agree that it would be better to support longer paths.

Many things Kronos start with a desire on your part, so I'm counting that a win ;)

USB doesn't get you out of the path length limit. Avoiding nested folders and using short filenames does.

Not at all. In fact, it's the only way; you can't play audio tracks from a USB drive.

The "error in writing to medium" message indicates a problem with the disk. Have you tried using the "check medium" command yet?

Well, since Network1 doesn't have a problem saving to USB, I don't believe this is the source of his problem.

Looks to me like your finger is too fat to save to the internal disk.

Maby all the Kronos's function independently of each other.
giving different results & outcomes ?
I wonder what the final file/path length, of this little song is ?

Results are quite deterministic.
The length of the path includes the file name and the names of all enclosing directories.
e.g. MainDirectory/SubDirectory/Filename.EXT
