Help with Krome sounds

Post by Mark B. »

I have tried the Best of M1 and Best of Triton sounds and also plan on trying other packs available on KromeHeaven. Here's my question: Is there anyway to fill the F bank with a various sounds from each pack, a custom 128 patch bank with just my favorites?

IIRC you can audition the sounds directly from the SD card and only copy over the sounds you want to where you want them, then save to a new file on an SD card for future use. Just keep using 'open' in 'media' rather than 'load' until you get to the 'prog' or 'combi' lists of the PCG files, then tap on them to hear them. You can switch 'media' on and off to switch between the onboard sound and the one you've selected on the SD card.

You can do the same thing with SNG files, but you have to load them into sequencer slots to hear them. I load them into the high 127,126 etc. slots as the recording of new stuff to the sequencer automatically defaults to the low number empty slots.

You can use the free application PCG Tools to copy programs/combis from different PCG files.

See my link below.
