Krome Global Transpose oddities

A couple questions about global transpose.

I'm finding there's going to be no way around using the much hated, much maligned transpose button, due to not knowing what keys we'll be playing the Foreigner songs in at the end. I was having trouble because when I would transpose up or down, my MIDI controller that's on channel 2 wouldn't transpose along with it. I figured that one out last night (YAY!), and the reason I wasn't able to find it before was that it's not on the Global General page, it's on the Global MIDI page. *eyeroll*

That said, there are now two other glaring issues I see with transposing:

* ARP triggers move. I have an ARP that I can trigger with any key between F# and G#, and when playing, I only trigger with F# & G#. Transposed a half step down, this becomes a problem, because my trigger now becomes F & G. THAT'S THE POINT OF TRANSPOSING, so that when I play F# & G#, it will play F & G, not FORCE ME TO PHYSICALLY PLAY F & G. I can change my trigger, but that defeats the purpose of the transpose button.

* Notes transpose, but key zones within a Combi DO NOT. This one's much more problematic, and I'll give an example: let's say I've mapped piano from C1 to G2, and organ from G#2 to G#3. I transpose down a half step, then start playing. Everything's fine, but what happens when I play a C chord starting at C2? The G comes out as Gb as expected, but rather than a piano sound, because transpose didn't touch the zones, it's an ORGAN sound.

I hope those didn't sound too confusing. I can make a video if necessary, but this won't work. I'll end up waiting until we arrive at our final keys, then have to manually alter the zones in order to make it work the way I need it to.

I sympathise! I have that exact same issue. Last night our main male vocalist had a bad throat, so needed our female backup singer to take over some songs. sometimes 5 steps up, you can only image the problems that created. I had 5 minutes after soundcheck to recreate all my splits and layers in new keys. It just couldn't happen before we had to shut it all down. I wish it was easier to do. Anyone that can offer a quick easy workaround will be a life saver!

Hmmm...challenging. I can't think of anyway around this issue other than maybe learning the song in a couple of different keys?

The best way is to lower/increase all individual timbres of a combi, but that means 16 (or the timbres you use) changes (per patch).

Currently in PCG Tools I'm trying to make a parameter changer, which could do this in an easier way, but in t hat case you need a laptop to change the PCG file.
