Electribe Sampler doesn't remember samples after power down?

Post by TechnoMusic »

I read this elsewhere and just wanted to ask if this is true? On power down it doesn't remember the samples or where in the patterns they are used so on powerup you have to find them manually on the cf card an load them?

Is this correct?

You have to "export all samples" before shutting down for it to remember. You'll find that feature under the Data Utility menu.

Yes and No. After "export all sample" as volcahelper said, it creates a file on your SD card which is automatically loaded at startup. So no need to find it manually.
You can also load another .all sample file when booted up.

This basically means that the Electribe2's don't have a harddrive. Just RAM and ROM and your SD card is the file storage.

Ah ok well thats not a total dealbreaker. How long does it take to load the sample memory form from scratch to full?

Oh also how does it deal with synthesis with single cycle waveforms?

If you have it full loaded with close to 25MB of samples, it takes well over a minute to load. Not something you can do quickly inbetween songs in a live setting most likely.

Set them as loops with the loop point at the beginning, they work pretty well. Pretty much like any other oscilator, except no edit parameter. Mabi transposed the AdventureKid waveforms to C4 (what the electribe 2 sampler is keyed to) and you can find that if you search this forums.
