How to create keyboard set for all styles
Moderators: Sharp, X-Trade, Pepperpotty, karmathanever
thanks a lot Pete. I have tried that couple of times before I write this post and it didn't work. I used to repeat the same procedure to save sounds in registration memory (1-4) but it overwrites # 1 and keeps only one set. Could it be because of some adjustment needs to be done in Global or somewhere else? anyway I will give it another try and let you know.
This is the way the Pa4X (or Pa3x, Pa900) is designed.orasikh wrote:Hi Pete
I tried to create keyboard set by memorizing sounds in the 4 buttons 1-4 but still it's mandatory linked to the current style. I appreciate your help
Thanks
If you want to save a sound that is not depending or linked to a style, you need to save it in KEYBOARD SET LIBRARY.
After setting up and selecting your liking sounds in Uppers 1,2,3 and Lower, orasikh wrote:Thanks BR
I did that, saved this set:Upper 1,2,3, lower etc in library but I am looking for a way to save the same in each button of the registration memory 1-4 which is more comfortable to me when changing sound.
Hold Down the first keyboard set button (ex; button 1, under display) for more than one second.
A window pops up asking you to save into one of four keyboard sets.
then click ok to save.
Do the same process for other remaining keyboard set (2,3,4).
Hope that helps.

Sorry orasikh - I think I have slightly mis-understood you.
So am I correct here:-
You want the ability to call up a keyboard-set which also has the STS 1-4 included in it? (hence without any change to the currently loaded STYLE.)
At the moment you cannot do this. I find it interesting that there are a number of "options" in SONGBOOK which potentially suggest that you can do this BUT they do not work - for example there is a check box (ON or OFF) indicating whether you want to save the STYLE in the songbook entry - has no effect - also try removing a linked text file... you can't!!!! you can change it but not remove it!!!
I think SONGBOOK will later be improved and that these other inactive features will start to be implemented.
Cheers
Pete

@Pete,
Agree with you that unchecking the style in Songbook does not have any effect while we want saving
only a keyboard set independently of style, that means, whatever, saving as a keyboard set (former called STS)
or in Keyboard Set Library (former called Performance).
So I think the Songbook is not the solution to every situation.
I have a similar topic (not exactly like this one), and as you suggested the Songbook as a solution (thank you) but
after trying unfortunately it did not help me.
I paste the link here.

Hi BR
Thanks - I remembered it had come up before but couldn't remember by whom/where.
Of course you are correct.
As Korg have made the SONGBOOK the heart of "registrations" I can only imagine and hope that they complete the SONGBOOK by including these options.
Guess we have to wait for now....
Cheers

Sets in sogbook
Surely the best way to add sets of your choice to a style,is with songbook editor, where you can change the sets from another style, all or singly with- edit. This saves space in PA4 by not making a new style regards to all Terry
