Having choices will do more to influence companies to try harder to be competitive and pleasing to their customers.

I would be totally surprised if that was the case. In fact, it will be interesting to see how much more expensive it will be above the existing Genos

4300/4900 euros.Thats what think .

But if you ask me, was the 4700 worth the PA5X.? Hell NO.

So IF YAMAHA will present a new and fresh modern equipment on the G2, I can pay that extra500 euros just to avoid all the stress KORG caused me in 16 month of time.

Perhaps, the advent of Yamaha Genos2 will give Korg the much needed motivation that may PA5X owners (and Potential PA5X owners in-waiting) would like to see, after the premature and sluggish response with PA5X todate.

Race with pa5x? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 pa5x is still in test mode...

You are right.

Maybe after a long time I will leave KORG.

Waiting to see what Genos 2 offers.

I am in the same boat even thought I don't yet own the Pa5X but I am thinking to upgrade next year.
I am korgist too since Korg i30 (1998) and followed until now Pa4X.
But after all I read in the forum about Pa5X, I start thinking for an alternative.
Unfortunately, in my case, there is not lot of options, except Yamaha.

Does anybody know if the YAMAHA GENOS 2 comes also in 61 keys?

Unfortunately, Yamaha and Korg are the only real contender for high end arrangers...

At the moment, there are no leaks other than the Yamaha official teaser, with no indication of a 61 keybed at the moment...

I believe, November 15th we should know more from Yamaha.

There are Rumors on the net, it says the new Sound chip from Montage M is in it,
If the design is same as MONTAGE M, YAMY YAMY ;) I will get one

Also 32 bit DAC on YAMAHA is something to undarstand.

Yamaha 1920 ppq
Korg 384 ppq

Yamaha have 5 times more resolution vs Korg…

PPQ" means (parts per quarter-note)

Each beat of a bar is divided into 1,920 parts. That's what "PPQ" means (parts per quarter-note).

Yes they are impressive boards, but I have always disliked how the "pad"out their styles with efx everywhere...Take them out and the result is pretty flat styles....hahahaha, mind you that was when I tried a Tyros 3 ;)

Maybe the Genos is different?

Indeed and hopefully the OS is not just a Tyros-7!!! Come on YAM - think professionally - think "LIVE" - think "recording" - give us an intelligent OS (please!!)

....probably way too late to request anything.... :?
