Hello,
A miracle has happened!!!
When I just saw the YT video where the link can be found here.
I almost fell off my chair!!
At the end of the video Dirk Lindeman announced that the "Syncro start" function has been adjusted, so that in the menu there is a choice between the old way that Syncro start remains active or the choice that Syncro start is disabled after the start of a style.
This is already one of the things that I have been asking for to be adjusted for more than 2 years.
Together with the help of the BNL demonstrator.
Now the bug in the Midi Chord system.

Hi Yamko,
Despite the fact I have been asking for the 'quick record' feature for ages, the video 'Global Sounds' has posted shows that Korg have taken this feature to another level. It's nice to see that things are starting to come together now.

It would not surprise me if Korg put some more free styles in the O/S 1.4.0 when it's released, and now that owners have had a chance to see the progress with this O/S, I think most will be happy to wait until March or April so that Korg can finish writing the code and beta testing before release.

As I have said in several previous Posts that my choice is more towards Korg arrangers. I don't believe Forum Members when they say 'Korg is better or Yamaha is better or Ketron is better'. I'm personally happy with Korg sounds, features, build quality, price, etc and that's why I don't go with other Manufacturers. The Company, however does make me scratch my head at times. No point in digging it all up, but I think Forum Members know what I'm talking about.

As a Senior (70 this year) I for many years have attended keyboard Festivals in the U.K. and have had the pleasure to meet personally (on numerous occasions) with three of the nicest (and most talented) musicians. Pete Shaw, Luke Edwards and Paul Carmen, and all associated in some way or other to Korg.

PA5X is already amazingly good and it gets better and better. I’m so glad I jumped on this train more than a year ago (almost 2?… time flies). Enjoy playing this instrument every day !!! I can’t wait for the update and I hope with all the others here there will be a pack of new styles included by Korg. 8)

Quite happy to wait for, and look forward to V1.4 .

I've had my Pa5x since mid 2024 and there's enough to keep me busy already.

Since buying, Korg have given us V 1.3.0 followed by V 1.3.1 and then, in addition Osimo for the Pa5x.

So I think that's pretty good actually. There's just so much pleasure playing, exploring and learning with this
really Top Notch arranger, that a few more weeks is no big deal.
Personally a Midi to Style feature would be heaven .

I wish the my Pa5x had full editing of midi files as of the Pa1000.
The buffer memory and limited editing let it down for me.
As it freezes after doing a little edit of tracks.
Wish I kept my Pa1000 for the editing.
Just hope the build this area.

These days I dedicated a lot of time to read everything about the new update... I read on various forums, youtube and facebook. As far as I understand, no one knows when the update will come out exactly... But before April 1, it seems that it won't. I hope it comes out sooner. I check every day if it has come out... But as far as I can see, we will be waiting for a long time.

Someone on another forum asked Korg USA about the OS 1.4.0 update release date. They got a reply and here it is https://imgur.com/a/korg-reply-on-pa5x-os-1-4-0-0vy3dJi

I would be soooo happy if Korg would acknowledge the existence of Japan, the most musical country in the world, with some Japan-oriented styles, like their flavor of modern Jazz, pop, soundtrack and anime styles. The western styles are tired and boring.

This is a great shame. Unprofessionalism. Impudence. I was speechless. The worst thing about the Korg company. I will never recommend your products to anyone again. I will never buy any of your products again. This is horror. I don't know what sentence to use. You should be ashamed. This is nowhere to be found that you have been screwing over your faithful and honest customers for so many years. We all paid fairly for your instrument... You advertise that it is the best arranger on the market, but you can't, you haven't been able to create a reliable system for 3 years. You don't communicate with your users who are constantly trying to help you solve problems. Shame on you. I will record a video on YouTube soon, I will hate you. You ruined my health, my job, my patience. You should be sued and convicted. This is a violation of peace, health, playing with someone's patience. Keyboard goes to ads now. Never again Korg. Never!

Oh well, if 1.4 will be an update, or actually an upgrade of the Pa5X and with many new features and bug fixes, then all critics will become silent. Better to take the time after the announcement of version 1.4 in january and release a good release than to respond to all critics and release the release earlier with bugs that can be grumbled about again

You do NOT deserve the 1.4 release when it comes, with a diatribe like this written on a public forum. Shame on you.
