I havent heard about the 'breaking in' advice re the HD 650's but I expect since they have similar diaphragm type mechanics as most monitoring systems then a few hours of listening at reasonable level would assist in settling them in.

I'm an immature idiot in my mid-40's (and at my age - it's _really_ important to get that right!!)

Mike, thank you for joining. Excuse me, on your picture you are not kissing sexually with your (nice) dog. Therefore this picture is surely not against the rules of the forum. Hedegaard's porn picture is the opposite.Mike Conway wrote:Here here, Kevin! I'm 46 and I sleep with my dog....
"banning" ME, now?!?Akos Janca wrote:The forum rules exactly say: posting such material may lead to being banned. I don't wish this for Hedegaard and ozy at all.
Yes. Unfortunately many comments from ozy - including his last furious one above abusing me - exactly fall in this category which is against the forum rules:AnthonyB wrote:If someone (the powers that be) annul or cancel out the required image et al, then we will be "minus the pictures" and can carry on THIS thread...
It's better to calm down. I don't wish ozy to be banned. You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material...
There is no case.Akos Janca wrote:That's why I asked Sharp to comment it. He keeps quiet - I don't know why. I definitely think we need the moderator to resolve this case.
you're right. A man sleeping through it... That's a good description of MY sexual life...Hedegaard wrote:Ozy, the picture of your "headphones" offends me because: a man with closed eyes is sleeping - its SEXUAL!
This is a precedent case. If that picture can stay published regardless of the forum rules and protestation then we really have to think over if this is the appropriate site for us.Hedegaard wrote:There is no case.Akos Janca wrote:That's why I asked Sharp to comment it. Unfortunately, not. We are members with equal rights here on this common forum. You did something, I don't like that. Some members support you, others support me. We can't agree. That's why I had to apply to Sharp. Not as another subjective person but as a moderator who knows the rules of the forum, knows how to apply them and has the right for that.Hedegaard wrote:Again, you politely asked me to remove my post.
I politely disagreed.
Can you accept that, and move on, without bringing in Sharp?
This is fair. This is "adult" mentality - in the original good sense of this word.Hedegaard wrote:But I'm not unreasonable:
I'll remove the post, if Sharp wants me to,
I feel it doesn't matter which page contains it. (Also, there is no such "passage" in forum rules.)Hedegaard wrote: ...but I just don't feel its necessary, its on the first page, we're on page 6 already in this thread.
I appreciate your sense of humour and intelligence - but I can't laugh now. Joke or not: porn that breaks the rules.Hedegaard wrote:The picture is in context of the thread about headphones, it was a joke (which should be obvious)
Please stop mocking on the forum rules, on religious people, on me. Please also note, I'm not mocking on you, your sexual taste, your faith, your feelings.Hedegaard wrote:Ozy, the picture of your "headphones" offend me because:
1) the grey couch is dull looking
2) a man with closed eyes is sleeping - its SEXUAL!
3) The book he was reading is probably some propaganda material from pre-world war 2
4) Its against my religion to see a man with grey hair sleep with an orange buttoned shirt.
5) I'll be sure to reference all of these things in the next 50 posts I make in this thread.
Sorry, first I have to say I find this cynicism.Hedegaard wrote: 1) So what if children see this thread - didn't you know that the internet is not for children unless supervised?
Please read cello's opinion for example:Hedegaard wrote:2) What "child" owns an Oasys anyway? Unless they have some rich Baron as an uncle.
And another thought if we talk about children:cello wrote:I too want to lend support to the view that the picture was inappropriate ... on a music/Korg/information exchange website.
...I'm afraid I'm old enough to remember that there are juniors here on this forum and legally shouldn't really be able to view this TYPE of image - a parent may be happily thinking that KF is a safe place for their 14yr old to visit - it's a music/keyboard site isn't it?
...I think it is a little sad that the 'top of the tree' forum, where many youngsters may want to be able to contribute one day when they have enough money (ie OASYS - or whatever it is then!), is the very one that has something that they really shouldn't be seeing HERE (not somewhere else - but here)...
What would happen if parents of those children visited this forum and read this about the "naughty girls"? Do you believe they would be furious? I bet yes.ozy wrote:I never had anything to do with porn in my life!

akos i find your posts iriritating and to me this is very offensive. I am being serious, i find all of your posts on this topic very offensive as i dont like people irritating me. So as you say can we please stick to rule #2 and have all of your posts removed. please explain were you draw the line with causing offence.Akos Janca wrote:Hi t_tangent,t_tangent wrote:Akos, I don't mean to offend but I really think you have taken this all a bit seriously.
Thank you. I don't agree with you but I respect your opinion.
Well, this is a free place with equal rights for us, members. So, based on this, can we post anything here? Certainly, not. Even if we personally like it or we think it's right. In my opinion: #1. We must follow the rules of the forum. #2. We should try to not offend or insult each other (which is generally also included in #1). If a post fulfills these requirements then it's OK to keep. Do you guys agree with this?
If a post doesn't fulfill these rules then it should be removed. The picture in Hedegaard's post is off topic (against rule #1) and offending (against #2) - even if I'm the only one who noted. That's why I kindly asked him to remove. Why it's so hard to understand it?
Ozy came only right after this. Please note without anything useful to contribute regarding the topic. And now left - after ruining it.
For example, you certainly don't want me to post the best jokes about Irish or British people here, do you? Even if I like them very much I won't publish because these could be insulting. Even if they are about Irish people with headphones on.t_tangent wrote:By the way, I am 46 and British with some Irish ancesty...
