If you STILL have failed LEDs, please read this....

Post by karmathanever »

Hi friends,
Here is yet another topic about the dreaded LEDs but only for those who still have the LED problem.
Let's put the dead LEDs to bed !!
I am making this a sticky for a while to see what happens.

The purpose of this topic is to discover and summarise PA2XPro forum members who still have the LED problem and to see if there is some way in which I can help. I am hoping that there will be very few (if any) responses as I think most owners have been able to get the problems fixed. My LEDs (boards) have been replaced and I have received full support from my local distributor and Korg. I do not work for Korg neither am I associated with Korg in any way - I purely want to assist/advise where possible.
Sharp has on many occasions reiterated what needs to be done in order to get the problem addressed however there may be a few owners who are new to the problem or perhaps confused.
You should DEFINITEY read this first....

Please do not respond to this topic unless you own a PA2XPro and it currently has failed LEDs.
Each person's details will be added to this message and their actual responses removed. This way I can collate the current LED problems summarised in a single message and avoid another huge thread.

If you have a PA2Xpro and one or more LEDs have failed, please supply the following information (also, I will PM you):-
1. In which country do you reside? ____________
2. How many LEDs currently failed? ____
3. Is your PA2Xpro still under warranty? ____
4. Have you contacted your Korg retailer/distributor about the LED failures? ____
5. Has your PA2Xpro been scheduled and/or approved to be repaired? ____

Remember, your response messages will be deleted and your information collated in this single message (below):

Hi dragoncaz

Replacing the LEDs will NOT fix the problem.

It is NOT the LEDs that are faulty, it is the boards - you will never be rid of the problem until you replace both left and right boards.
This was explained by Korg Italy on this forum several months ago.
Korg should fix this for you even if your keyboard is out of warranty - check with your distributor.
