anyone currently using karma triton?

Post by korglifeguy »

with other hardware gear in their set up?

What do you think about it , was it easy to set up (midi config) and use and can you record it ok into your DAW software Eg cubase 5, alongside other hardware synths?

How do you rate this opposed to a real korg karma?.
And has anyone got any of the additional chemistry and re-incarnation soundsets and what do they think?
Also if anyone knows how does karma triton compare to M3 or M50 karma?

Not many posts in here so it doesnt look like many have taken up this option with their tritons? :o

I don't have a Triton myself, but as writer of PCG Tools which has now been released for exactly one year, you can see it has been downloaded 1536 times, meaning that there are about 5 users per day viewing these Karma forum threads.

Korglifeguy:

I use Karma Triton with

A Triton Le
A M-Audio Oxygen 49
A motu 828 and a midi sport 2x2
Ableton intro 8
On a pc running XP

The two programs run side by side quite nicely...

Kt tuns local off. I play sounds and fc etc. from the Le
Kt looks for karma knob and button ccs from the Oxygen
Ableton is the sync master - don't use live as slave, midi sync is terrible!

I record audio not midi into live.
I match the ableton and kt tempos.
Pre- plan your knob movements in real time!
I move warp markers to match the new karma audio loop to abletons grid.

Enjoy,
Sam
