80$ for a sound pack that only contains lead sounds to be a copycat of Derek Sherinian, Jens Johansson and Jordan Rudess ?

Give me a break.

That's Italians for ya.

Seriously. $80 is too much, only blind and crazed Rudess freaks will buy it at that price, and nobody else... $15 or $20 is more reasonable. Perhaps.

It's still too expensive. For $80 I would expect at least 256 patches. Or at least a bunch of additional samples added in. And, just leads? How about other types of sounds?

Bleh. This is not worth the money.

I feel the FAQ says it rather well.

Take a look at Kid Nepro's latest offering for example.

His efforts benefit the community and himself. Respect goes a very long way on this forum. You get back what you put in here.

Sharp.

Another type of contribution is answering questions for others, adding posts when you test or review something.

19 posts by Keyboard Solo, nearly all of them only promoting his website and products for sale.

Is there a forum here where sound library devs can list/advertise their wares? Would actually be kind of nice to have them all in one place, like Motifator does.

Oh, and to the S4K guy, when you're not busy creating another pack of several dozen Dream Theater leads, PLEASE fix your website... that thing is ATROCIOUS!! Even if I wanted to buy any of your libraries, I'm not sure I'd be able to find them :P

If i may add something about the quality of product you receive from Keyboardsolo/space4keys

First of all, you should refrain from buying unless you are in a dream theater cover band or a stratovarius cover band and WANT your patches to sound incredibly lame and un-authentic.

I made a deal with Scion (guy behind the keyboard solo handle) and told him if he sends me a PCG for Radias and Triton that legitimately sounds good, i will join his team and contribute my patches.

However, when i received said PCG files... I was INCREDIBLY disappointed. all of the sounds were completely unusable. Many of them were actually the same patch. just with very veryyy small variation (a different controller or something you could... do yourself) Basically bottom line they are absolutely not worth the price. Maybe 99 cense for 100 would be good.

Might i also add, that I WHOLE HEARTEDLY believe that SELLING PATCHES IS AGAINST THE COMMUNITY EFFORT AND WRONG!
I run a website that gives out my hard effort patches for free. Because I know that that is what makes a community spin. I sell a SERVICE that makes patches for musicians who dont know much about synthesis. and to me thats okay, but I have no problem giving out the patches I make for myself for free for others use. It makes me happy knowing i gave someone a sound they will enjoy and use.

I am 100% against the effort of space4keys and keyboard solo. They are a disgrace to all metal keyboard players who try to do everything properly. They cater to children with x-50s and take them for their hard earned money.

Do not waste your money. I have received many files for free and can assure you they are unuseable crap. most of the time theyre just stock programs slightly modified with a different name.

for example, if you SELL A PATCH called stratovarius harpsichord, it better sound like the ROLAND SRX HARPSICHORD. not like the tritons! otherwise you paid for nothing practically!

if you sell the liquid T lead from jordan rudess and it uses 2 voices when everyone knows its a 16 voice lead, then you are taking peoples money.

f*ck you space4keys.

Hi Rob,as always thanks for your appretiates..

remember that you receved only a FAKE Pack ;) , not the original S4K product, I wanted to test your skills and intend to work with us..and you never reply me with patches, so you never start join the s4k team.

We are finishing also the new MONSTER PACK on Radias ( 32 NEW GREAT PATCHES ), now , if you want I can share with you this incredible new pack...you can produce demo and be our Betatest...but I need your collaboration not your BAD WORDS! USELESS WORDS! ONLY WORDS.

We are here to collaborate with Korg Forums Programmers and share all the S4K productions with you, for free, not to make Deal as you probably think.

We have a lot of new website and community, channels and many customers, we don't need to make advertising here, I'm here to be a Korgforums member.
