question for m3m users, midi in transpose out....?

Post by dtray187 »

Hello, I am wondering if I have a master keyboard midi in to the m3m and the m3m midi out to my daw, then transpose the m3m in global mode, will the m3m send all notes going out that im playing transposed to my daw?

Or will I need to transpose from my master keyboard?

I think you have to transpose the Master keyboard, I don't have an M3M but use 2 synths connected with MIDI and if I change the global MIDI channel of the synth where the sound comes from (in your case M3M) then it does not affect the notes received by MIDI in.

Actually, it will transpose the outgoing MIDI notes if "Convert Position" (Global mode, MIDI Basic page) is set to "PreMIDI".
