Demo vid of some of the new Kronos sound expansions

Post by Rorcus »

I have no idea what he's saying but the projector screen appears to be highlighting the new KRS expansions. :D

I honestly don't know if I liked that or not!

Meh - nothing that really grabbed my attention at all. Although to be fair, it is very difficult to get a good listen of sounds like that through video camera audio.

thanks for the posting, but i can express enough how i hate listening to crap recordings made through camera mic, why bother. Everything sounds the same, if someone told me these are the sounds for the new casio 16 keys or the iphone ringtones , i would've believed it

Some decent preview demos would certainly help more than this irrelevant clip.

Yes, I couldn't say from this video it is different than what's already there.

Those sound like demos of the KRS-04 new Combis only.

That's Taiki Imaizumi, who manages all the voicing for Korg workstations (for many years now, at least since the Trinity as I recall). A great player....

He told me his demo ran about 20 minutes, so this is only one part of it. It was all filmed, and probably better quality will come from Korg Inc. than this version. Give it some time... more will come, I'm sure.

I wonder if he played any of the sounds I made of KRS-02? I'm one of the uncredited programmers...

Regards,

Jerry

Well jerrythek since he personaly told you that the demo was of a certain engine/patch and went on for 20 mins. You could have asked on the same breath if he played some of your uncredited programs or not.

Relax vstkeys, Jerry is a legend here, and rightly so.

Always grateful when Jerry chimes in with support. :P

The info from Jerry is fine, as is Taiki Imaizumi.

The available clip still isn't.

I guess we are just curious to hear/see some real prerelease demos. They are needed anyway to sell the stuff, since nobody will buy blind/deaf.

That seems to be my pet peeve... touting a fantastic audio product, recorded on some lame audio system that sounds like a transistor radio from the 60's. Man, if you're going to sell (or at least demo) a superior audio product, why on earth would you record it on some lame videocam's microphone?

That video didn't come from Krog. It was just someone in the audience recording it on their smart phone or equivalent.

Busch.
