Hey Guys,
When ever i change combination, the sound from the previous one just cuts out.
Is there a way i can let the release work as normal once changing the combination?
Thanks

Short answer is no.
On Kronos, yes. Every prior Korg keyboard cuts off sound as new combi or program - specifically their effects section resets for the new sound.
Some other makers can do it and have for a while, but Korg is just getting on board with this capability.

It's called Sound Sound Transition (SST).billbaker wrote:Short answer is no.

Developer of the free PCG file managing application for most Korg workstations: PCG Tools, see https://www.kronoshaven.com/pcgtools/
There is a way to do somewhat smooth sound transitions with "programs" in a combi by using KARMA which what I have heard works quite well, but seems to be abit hassle to setup. I think Stephen Kay has described how to do this several times over at Korgforums somewhere and aswell over at Karma-labs, If you are interested i would check Karma-labs forums for sure.
Okay. One more time. Read the wiki article on Stephen Kay's site. You have a combi with 16 programs. You can use any combination of those 16 programs and have SST. Split, layered, whatever, just like a combi. The drawback is alotting your EFX to that one combi. If the M3 was not capable of doing this with Karma, I would pick up a Kronos because to me SST is a lifesaver for live performance.

OP - "whenever I change a combination"
Don't change combination (drama1, jon's & steven kay's solution) and there's no issue - so if you can work within a combi things are fine. Using Karma features, you could (as pointed out) set up such a transition between two scenes and have things smooth. But if you change combis - still, no joy.
