Every OTHER key on my Trinity has NO Sound !?! Please help!

Post by dbjacobson »

I had a Triton Pro-X [88 key] in my studio for years and sold it recently as it is impossible to transport for gigs - I figured I would buy a 61 key version but I was at a flea market today and I just found and bought a [61 key] Trinity for a whopping $50, priced low as every OTHER key does not produce sound! Literally, every other key makes no sound from the lowest note to the highest with zero exceptions!

Have you ever heard of such a problem and do you have any possible solutions? e.g. could a factory preset re-set work? I just opened the back to check for any unattached ribbon cables but found nothing... I have been working on guitars for 20+ years but I have no idea how the keyboard internals work.
Thanks in advance!

I can remember (but don't know which synth, dont' have a Trinity), that you could set the synth to EVEN or ODD notes.

The idea was that if you have 2 equal synths you have double polyphony without thinking about spreading the notes/tracks among two synths manually. But I don't know if that's also the case for the Trinity, you might check the global pages parameters.

I will grab the manual and check under funky ass things you can do under Global Parameters and report back. Much appreciated!

nice to have an easy one every now and then!
there is an option in GLOBAL PARAMETERS that is either ODD, EVEN or ALL and lo and behold, it was checked for ODD.... checked it to ALL and bingo! all my keys sound as they should!
