Well ?

Bonus for me. It'll be my first editor. Having said that, I like using the touch screen.

The editor will open up the Kronos but I don't get the over the top reactions regarding the delay. Its gonna be the the most complicated synth editor ever created.

Hard to debate without any screenshot.

But I think it would be easier to edit sound on a 24" display
I hope there'll be less tabs to jump to when you edit a sound.

I would have to go with the first option.
Great to have somthing like that, but it would not really matter to me either way in making a decision to buy the keyboard.

Sharp.

waiting in line at the grocery store or post office is more irritating than waiting for the editor.
IOW, the slight inconvenience of waiting for the editor is far down the list.

It seems to me that many users in here have no real clue about the usability factor of a hardware synth VSTi, until they finally get a clue when using one, so Korg can be very relaxed developing the thing another year or two.

i'm kind of frustrated with how Korg handles issues like this in general, but definitely going with the second one for now...

Since the Kronos has a big touch screen right there, an editor doesn't seem that important to me.

Coming from Oasys, actually the Piano, the Rhodes Simulation and the usability as VST-Plugin were the main factors to buy Kronos for me. The editor itself was not so important, more the expected librarian function, which is now already covered by Michel Keijzers incredibly great PCG-Tools. So far... so good...

What really makes me mad, is the fact, that the editor and vst-plugin function was advertised, and still is, but is still not available. This is simply a "no go".
Last week i was in Frankfurt/Germany in a bigger Music Store (Session Music). The still have a huge poster on the wall behind Kronos, saying that the editor is downloadable at the korg website, the VST-functionality is also mentioned as actual feature. And this sucks

But... the machine itself is simply amazing :D

Editor, a very important addition. Easier to use the instrument. I am waiting 10 months.
"Using the Kronos Editor software, sounds and settings can be edited directly from your computer. The Kronos Plug-in Editor lets you use Kronos from within many popular DAW systems, as if it were a plug-in instrument. Kronos can also be used as an audio I/O for your computer, sending and receiving two channels of audio via USB. In a music production system using your Kronos and a computer, there is no need to purchase any additional hardware, creating the simplest possible set-up."

It would be nice and obviously more practical to work with Kronos in the VSTi world, but the absence of an editor doesn't stop me from working at all.
When I remember the DX7 LCD and how I've learned FM, It really makes me think I don't care. Reading glasses are still a good idea though...

Thanks for the compliment. However, I really don't know what is in the editor and I also really don't know if there WILL be any librarian functionality in the Editor that will be published by Korg.

[Joke mode]Maybe Korg is trying to reimplement all functionality of PCG Tools into their Editor. So the harder I work, the longer the delay will be and it will be my fault.[End of joke mode]
