Hi, I have M3 and my collegue has Kronos. We would like to transfer some of Karma enabled combis to Kronos. I know they are not compatible and we would have to manually assign the programs, settings etc.
What would be the advisable workflow to do this? Any software which could be of help in the process, like printing out the M3 settings? Any tips appreciated. Thanks!
How to transfer M3 karma combis to Kronos?

i've did this for a couple of my own m3 combi's. It's a lot of work to do it, but basicly here's what i did:
- open the combi in the Korg M3 editor on the computer
- watch which programs are used on which channel and select those in the Kronos (a lot of the M3 programs are also in the Kronos)
- add the timbre parameters manually in the kronos
- select the IFX and MFX in the editor and enter the corresponding effects manually into the Kronos
- select the KARMA patterns and parameters and enter those manually in the Kronos
And so on....
I found it way to much work, what i'm doing now is listen to the original combi on the M3 and select corresponding programs on the Kronos, then i check which KARMA GE's i used on the M3 and use these in the Kronos.
Then i listen to the combi again and do the program manually from the things i hear.
But the most easy thing to do is get rid of them and create completely new combi's, works much faster that way

PCG Tools will not help in this case ... it's on the wish list but as explained above, it's a lot of work to automate.Jordan wrote:Thanks, I will try that. Do you think other software would be of any help? Like Karma Kronos or PCG Tools?
Especially, because you just cannot always just copy numbers from the M3 to the Kronos patch, because:
- samples are different
- different parameters
- some equal named parameters may have different curves/ranges
