Try searching the Parameter Guide and Operation Guide PDF files using this term:

"drum sample"

You're apparently browsing into a KSC on disk. The KSC includes links to EXs Drum Samples. This part of the Operation Guide may be helpful: Sampling (Open Sampling System) -> User Sample Banks.

I see samples in :

userBank.ksc\name\multisamples
userBank.ksc\name\Drumsamples

in multisamples there are only the ....multisamples name

but in the drumsamples folder it seems to be all the samples of the multisamples.

I understeand now but, I think, the name "drumsamples" is a little strange !

Drum Samples are used in Drum Kits. The manuals have a lot of info on this which should be helpful.

I don't think the manual explain why in the folder drumsaples there are normal samples !

I repeat it for clarity : I don't have DRUM SAMPLES and I don't have DRUM KIT .

in other words : I have only samples of multisamples of keyboards, no drum at all !

so, I think, the name of the folder is inappropriate (or it's content is inappropriate)

why there isn't a folder called simply SAMPLES ?

You're apparently browsing into a KSC file and looking at a User Sample Bank or EXs. User Sample Banks and EXs contain two types of user-accessible data: Multisamples and Drum Samples. Multisamples can be used in Programs and Wave Sequences; Drum Samples can be used in Drum Kits. For EXs (and ROM), the sound designer specifies which samples will be available as Drum Samples. With Sampling Mode data and User Sample Banks, there is no mechanism to choose which samples are available as Drum Samples, and which are not; instead, all samples are made available as Drum Samples.

If you browse into a KSC file which contains Sampling Mode data, you'll find that the Sampling Mode section contains a Samples folder instead of a Drum Samples folder. This is because with Sampling Mode data, the Samples are user-viewable and user-editable. Essentially, what you see when browsing into a KSC file directly represents the data types shown to the user.

Hope this helps,

Dan

last question :

so if I must change my kronos 73 with a 61 and keep with me all the things I must :

1) do a save all

2) save all the hd content on a usb key

then

1) copy from usb to internal HDD of the new Kronos

2) perform a load of a .pcg file

because I noticed that save all not save the samples......(because they are in virtual memory...I think)

thank you a lot

Save All will not save any user sample banks. It will save the sampling mode data (samples that are completely in RAM), the PCG, KGE and SNG data.
You will have to manually copy any and all user sample banks you are using (you can see this in the global/autoload page). The Preload.ksc does not need to be copied as a rule.

Please :

Editing User Sample Banks

At any time, you can load a User Sample Bank’s data
into Sampling Mode and edit the Samples or
Multisamples as desired, or add new Samples or
Multisamples. To do so:
1. Go to the folder in which you’ve saved your KSC
from “Saving User Sample Banks,” above.
2. Select the “[name].KSC” file—the one without
“UserBank” in the name.
3. Press the Load button.
The Load KSC dialog will appear.
4. Set .KSC Allocation to Clear Sampling Mode Data.
This is important, in order to preserve the User Sample
Bank ID. For more information, see “User Sample Bank
IDs,” below.

first problem : under the screen a red message say that name.ksc is already loaded as a user sample bank, set ksc allocation to clear all

but this is not as sayd in point 4

what can I do ? I do all the things writed point by point

I must do clear all but after edited the sample and saved the new ksc file

the program now not find the samlr "sample not loaded" and i manually must find the sample in the program.

i'm going crezy..I read but I don't understeand....I feel i'm loosing time...time that I can use do to other things...

please

p.s.

i'm tryng to search something in this forum but if i search for example "sample not loaded" the forum reply with all the post with the world SAMPLE....

The parts I marked bold explain that you have to set the KSC allocation to clear all, so it is exactly as explained in point 4.
I don't think I understand your question or error correctly.
Can you try to rephrase it?

Try typing this in the google search box:

Code: Select all

"sample not loaded" site:korgforums.com

|| Korg Kronos 61 (with upgrade kit) ■■ Korg PadKontrol ■■ Cubase 5 ||
