No idea. Not even sure how you'd check that out, there must be a way to do it, though. He's selling it for $2300.

seems odd that someone would offer a factory sealed item like thatphattbuzz wrote:No idea. Not even sure how you'd check that out, there must be a way to do it, though. He's selling it for $2300.
in between meeting place, etc.
most retailers would take a full return, esp if its unopened.
its CL, so anything goes
Wonder if you've discovered the Kronos' first scam!
Used to be the OASYS and so now the Kronos maybe...
1. If you read the ad carefully it only promises a Kronos sealed box (unopened).
2. It lists the features of 'a' Kronos but not in relation to 'the Kronos for sale'.
Maybe I'm being a cynic, but sounds to me that as soon as you hand over the cash (mandatory - no options), they'll do a runner before you have a chance to open the box which will either be empty or will have 5 bricks in it...
Or another way, who - logically - would part with $3000 (roughly) and a month later accept $2300? And spend $700 to find out it wasn't liked?
Or more importantly - how do they know they don't like the Kronos? The box is unopened remember!!!
Very fishy - stolen or a scam; either way, avoid!

Even when the Kronos was not even shipped from Japan there was an advertisement of someone in England selling Kronos 61, 73 and 88. And the beauty was, that the 88 was cheaper than the 61, all for around $1500 US$. Of course you could not pick them up yourself and you had to pay in advance.
After saying I would like to have one and really wanted to pick up myself I did not get any reaction anymore.

Would not go anywhere near this. It's either stolen or a set up for a robbery! He knows your coming with cash in your pocket.

I would ask the seller the name of the dealer (and phone) he purchased it from, and ask for the Serial Number.
You could call Korg USA and give them the Serial Number and they should be able to verify it went to that dealer.
Sounds fishy to me, though.

** KORG Product Support Contacts **
(they support BOTH hardware and software)
Korg USA Product support -- https://www.korgusa.com/contactus (For fastest service I would suggest calling them on the phone)

Are the serial numbers printed on the outside of the box?
