it's here.... AAAH!!

Post by jeebustrain »

so I work from home every tuesday... Sweetwater shipped my 88 out on Friday and we estimated it would take 2 days, so instead of having it delivered here, I had it delivered to the office. I got a call from my sales guy about a 1/2 hour ago asking if I got it yet. Apparently Fedex's website didn't update properly and it showed up early...

It's now sitting about 10 feet from my chair in my cube. I guess I know where I'm going at 5... Luckily I'll be going against the heavy traffic.

Congratulations on your new arrival.

I commonly have had my music equipment delivered to work, where I could unbox it, take it home (without the box) and pretend I had the item the whole time to the wife. (i.e., I've had the blue one for years, you just never noticed it, all the keyboards look the same to you anyway.)

Not just me that does that then ?......works every time.........

I even pretended I'd had an ARP Quadra for years when she asked what was the big black and orange thing in the front room....

I open in private

Post by runningman67 »

I open mine in private at home

a) because I had a Korg t3 delivered to work. The crowd gathered round to watch me open it, only to find that some of the buttons were missing. I nearly wept.

b) because I know I will be shaking like a leaf and might wet myself with excitement at the site of a keyboard (Kronos) I only ever dreamt would be/ could be invented.

I know I know I'm over emotional !

heh - I've done that a few times with cymbals.

Now that the wife is no longer here and it's just me and the boy, I don't have to worry about that anymore. Frankly, I'd rather have the Kronos and the cymbals!

My wife knows about my equipment, no problem here! But when she asks about the price... well, I just "don't remember"
Hey, I'm gettin' old... so that's a fair response, right?

Enjoy your Kronos!!!
