Thanx for you reaction. I will try one out.ParadoxMachine wrote:The Apex is built like a tank, so yeah it's sturdy. Since it's a tripod, it will be stable in any condition, and you can even adjust the angle of the support at the back to accommodate for slightly sloped floors.keekma wrote:I like the looks of the apex. But is it sturdy enough? Is is suitable for use on a podium with uneven elements of sloppy ones? I am considering buying ons.ParadoxMachine wrote:Here she is, in my band's rehearsal space. The APEX's a perfect match. I used to have a extravagant setup with 3 keyboards, but the K allows me to do everything I did and more with just one keyboard. Great for gigging since this setup is so much more compact and portable

Which is the pedal board thing you got there? Not the Korg ones.ParadoxMachine wrote:Here she is, in my band's rehearsal space. The APEX's a perfect match. No sir, i wasn't asking about those. In the second pic, the one with 8 buttons, looks like some sort of effect processor/looper? Sorry I do not know about that one, hence the curiosity.
Regards.
Regards.

I tied everything together with (removable) cable ties and works (and looks) good.phattbuzz wrote:Got to find a way to tame the spaghetti!
Advantages:
- looks good (also on stage)
- Reasonably cheap
- I never forget a cable because I literally tied every cable together (with splits here and there)
- I can very quickly connect and/or disconnect the cables for a rehearsal/gig
Disadvantage:
- You have to mark the cables, becuase you cannot see anymore which goes where (but to colormark it also has benefits)
- When you have to replace a cable it costs time (but the chance of breaking is less since the big bundle of cables is less bendable).
I'll try to make a picture soon (the 'bundle' is mostly in the rehearsal room). At home I have a few loose cables (looking like the spaghetti cable pic above).

I think the action is great for both acoustic and electric piano. It can be had at a pretty cheap price compared to some other 88 key controllers and it doesn't weigh all that much. It's piano sounds aren't bad either, but not quite up to the caliber of the Kronos.johnnydr wrote:phattbuzz.. How do you like the the Casio Privia as a controller for the Kronos (if that's what your're using it for)?
The Korg TR61, Casio Privia and now the midi bass pedals are all controllers for the Kronos. I love it.

This one does not. The pitchbend wheel works well. Other than that, there are no midi sliders.
