Ha, ha. I have a tidy wife. And I just finished with my new monitor and a new cable system. So it was a bit more messy, but now its heaven.....DocBambs wrote:#Keekma - what an incredibly tidy room! My wife only dreams about my study looking like that. (Or was it just for the photo?)

You have to upload your foto to a website and place the url in the post. For example picasa. See for the instructions in the FAQ section.runningman67 wrote:Really nice guys. How do you put these photos on the forum? My setup is very basic but hey ho, I'd like to share.![]()

That's an impressive Korg setup. Surely Korg shout take note of it (indeed it'd be great if synthesizer companies created loyalty cards like coffee shops upon which you place a sticker when you buy a Korg synth - and the when collect 6 get the 7th free (or reduced price)).
Out of interest - what's the name of your iPad stand?
Also out of interest - how are you finding a setup which includes both an OASYS and a Kronos? Do they compliment each other or do you treat them very differently?
Kevin.

It's an iKlip which I got from the online Apple store, it seems to be the iPad holder of choice for a number of musicians: http://www.ikmultimedia.com/iklip/features/
The Kronos is the gig workhorse while the Oasys has never left the studio due to its size and weight and cost. I have always regarded the Kronos as the portable lightweight Oasys with the better piano and EP's. Anyways, at home, the O becomes the master controller and the K becomes a sound module with the audio outputs of the K going into the audio inputs of the O. I balance the sound using the control surface of the O. I don't do it often enough but I once spent a few hours playing a mind-blowing 32 part orchestral combi...that was wicked fun! They definitely complement each other as I get the piano action on one and the synth action on the other. I suppose at the moment, I'm not maximising having both synths since the Kronos duplicates a lot the sounds I already have on the OASYS. If I weren't gigging, I'd ideally have completely different sound libraries on each instrument.

Yes, quite an impressive Korg setup.

hey so you guys mean that the old keybed only had sticker that says RH3, while the new keybed had a sticker "RH3 keybed from japan"???? is this true?? can someone confirm it??Kontrol49 wrote:EnjoyRC wrote:I got the RH3 keybed replaced. And here's a couple pix I took.

So is this "keybed from Japan" sticker to signify its a newer version of the RH3 Keybeds that Korg is using as opposed to the older ones which seem to have been at fault.
If so its a useful indication for those wishing to purchase the 73/88 note and worried about getting a faulty unit
Love my kronos 88
Love my yamaha psr s910 as well

No, this is not true. The presence or absence of either sticker has nothing to do with indicating which keybed is installed. In fact, I have had two Kroni, both with the ".. from Japan" sticker, and both of which exhibited the cut off and re-trigger problems.1jordyzzz wrote: hey so you guys mean that the old keybed only had sticker that says RH3, while the new keybed had a sticker "RH3 keybed from japan"???? is this true?? can someone confirm it??
In my case, the "RH3" keybed didn't have the issue. When I first detected that two "versions" (stickers) existed, I tought that could help us to avoid the issue with RH3. Later, it turned not to be helpful. Also, the "RH3" sticker was only present on the earlier serial numbers. It's pretty unlikely you'll get that sticker by now.Melodialworks Music wrote:No, this is not true. Here is the beast in situ.

Besides having to redo the entire deco of the house (hence the lovely pink curtains and 70's carpet), I will have to rethink the entire disposition of my gear as I have to keep access to a trap door on the wall (small attic behind) and so my QuikLok racks are no longer at arm's length. However, mixing my office space (I'm a freelancer) together with the music space is not an easy task !

got a little HDR happy last night. Still trying to wrap my head around the V-Synth, so the Kronos has been mainly a piano machine for the last week or so...
