Assigning joystick?

Post by krslae »

Of course assigning the vector joystick for timbre volume is an easy fix, but is there a way to assign the lower joystick to to just this? :) I was thinking maybe JS-Y. [/i]

Afaik you can use almost any parameter and assign it to an AMS, the JS Y- is a source you can use in an AMS.

Thank you. Actually, what I want is to mute a timbre ‘gradually’ by using JS-Y, and in that be totally muted when the joystick is all the way down to minus Y. I don’t know what sort of filter this would be :p ..or how this is done.

One example; Go to the Mixer tab in AL-1, set OSC1 Level to 99, AMS to JS-Y and Intensity to -99. Then invert the settings for OSC2; Level 00, AMS JS-Y and Intensity +99. Moving the JS-Y will crossfade between the 2 Oscillators.

Not sure about HD-1 as I never use it.

Edit: Ok, in HD-1 you can apply the same technique on the main Filter page. There is an Output Level parameter at the very bottom of the Filter settings. So just set that to 99, use JS-Y as the AMS source and set Intensity to -99.

What a SMOOTH instrument! Thank you very much. Suppose I’ll never learn it all. I sometimes play cover in larger venues, and when playing ‘newer’ music, these filters are very effective.
