New Korg Kronos X with OS 2.0

Post by neomad »

Seems that a mail from Korg has been received by some people...

The new Kronos X Music Workstation gives you all the performance, synthesis, and production power of Kronos, and adds an upgraded SSD and an additional GB of sampling RAM. Kronos X ships with Kronos OS v2.0, which lets you create User Sample Banks that can play many gigabytes of samples at once, without long load times. Kronos OS v2.0 also allows professional installation of a second SSD, and adds compatibility with USB-Ethernet adapters for fast file transfer. For more information, please visit http://www.korg.com/kronosx

The purpose is to make public an email received by another Korg Kronos user in other forum. The mail comes from Korg.

I would like to understand the purpose of your question about this post ;)

Looks like there is a "new" Kronos coming, with the difference being it has the RAM upgrade and a larger SSD.

Perhaps that's the reason for the price drops being seen to clear out the old stock.

and the new OS? It's cool that they have a new modified product, but this probably means they will release the new update for current users pretty soon , i hope.

Sounds like a good hypothesis, Assyrianpianist. Plus, if you read the details it indicates an Editor that is ALSO version 2.0.

one of the websites says that it's expecting to start shipping july 31., so that's not that far away.

And now the whole "X Marks the Spot" contest makes even more sense. Clever marketing there, Korg. Unfortunately, my name is not Michele Parlee, so I didn't win a Kronos X.

It looks like it's a Kronos with the extra GB of memory already pre-installed and the support for a second SSD.

Very nice features :-).
