Dan is around but he is not 'obliged' to answer every question. This forum is not for communicating to Korg directly so we should be glad Korg members spend time commenting on posts here.

I understand that and had no expectations of Dan or anyone else. My apologies if I sounded anything but humble and appreciative. I also am very thankful for the gracious responses that KF users have provided If I failed to articulate that, then I am saying "thank you" now. Also, it was not my anticipation to reach Korg directly thru this forum-I have their phone number and web address-like everyone else here. My hope for Dan's thoughts were solely based on his extensive knowledge, helpfullness to many users here, and saavy expertice that I happen to lack myself.

Thanks for your thoughts.

My touchscreen has failed me a few times where it has become completely unresponsive for months at a time. It first happened in 2010, then last year and then just a week ago. It's winter in Australia and it seems to happen around the same time every year and then fixes itself when it warms up. When it happened again last week, this time around I placed my little heater briefly near it and now it's back to normal. Seems the touchscreen film sticks to the glass due to very fine moisture. Whenever it malfunctions, it starts off with the screen being misaligned with what I touch. For example, I press track 1 on the screen then track 2 gets selected instead, or the top part of the screen works but bottom buttons are inaccessible. It then becoms worse until nothing works and the sceen is completely useless. It may also be worth trying a system reset, Press enter and 0 while it boots up. I guess still best to take it to an authorized repairer if these fail. You can check out the karma-lab forums as well. There are a lot of touchscreen related posts there too.

I've seen a post there where someone ordered a replacement touch screen and had it installed. He even posted photos and the contact details of the supplier.

I hope it gets fixed soon.

Hi David,

nothing wrong with your post, no need to apologize..
Dan probably would advise to contact your local dealer/Krorg distributor, but you can also try to pm him ? !

best regards

Hey Narf and SoulBe..

Thanks tons for your responses. Very much appreciated.

SoulBe, it looks like my posted song was removed...how is that possible? And why would anyone in admin do such a thing? In any event, I will post another partial song. It is "Daystar Rising" and just before the Oasys bit the dust, I was about to upload the completed version. After looking over this thread it became apparent to me that michelkeijzers is somewhat of a bully. Thankfully, he apparently is a useful member here. Albeit, remiss from my understanding, he seems to attempt to police the affairs of others on this forum. He knows that Dan is around but not obliged to communicate to me. And he knows that Sharp is around, but busy. LOL...he's got the lot of our itineraries right on hand! Entirely inconsequential, however, so I will pay him little heed. I'm sure he's a good dude, just a little full of himself.

On topic, I do believe I have isolated a fix for my O thanks to the kind posting of 'mixingboard'...I think that is his ID. It will be about a month before I can get to this but I will keep my fingers crossed taht I don't jack something else up.

To Cello...keep those tunes coming, my man. It's great stuff that deserves to be heard.

Cheers friends.

Yeah.. it works.

This version of Daystar Rising is a dreadful mix full of all the anomalies, undesirable digital artifacts, and finalization culprits that kill a song, lol. It will probably be single-handedly responsible for shutting down SoundCloud servers. Meanwhile, In Canon City, CO...a better version is on the way. Hehe!

All the best...

DavidLane! What an extraordinarily special piece - loved it.

You have combined so many sounds into a work with a wonderful sense of drama and expectation and hope. I can imagine you playing the piano track with great enthusiasm getting totally into the piece - it sounds like it was great fun to play!

I forgive the mix  - but can't wait to hear what it sounds like once you've mixed it to your satisfaction :)

Keep doin' what yer doin' - it's great =D>

Cello! Don't lower yourself to my standards!!. LOL. It is embarrassing, my friend.

Cool that liked what you heard. My apologies, please, it truly is in a rough state. Thank you for hearing past my erroneous mix and mish mash. It is a fun song to play and what I hear in my head, orchestrally, is good stuff.

You know what would be fun? To do a tune together! I need no credit, so I don't demand anything at the end. Wanna do it? Just something short and sweet....and to share with KF. You take all the kudos. Just a thought.

Anyhoo.. thank you for hearing a sweet song that does not sound so sweet at present. It will be better when I get the O fired up.

Hey..Question.. Can I transfer my seq and sound data to a Kronos if I had the dough to throw down for a Kronos? Sorry if I am ignorant, but I have not followed the threads here or even the technology.

Keep it real.

I'm pretty sure of sequencer data, but Oasys PCG data can be read in a Kronos.

Awesome!!

I do intend to fix and keep my Oasys, but I still think the compatability thing is way cool. Thanks Michel.
