This is the pedal board that I built.
Excellent setup - well thought out. Thanks for the picture.

I guess you are quite tall (or your keyboard is very high), looking at the small distance between the legs.

Um, I just did a quick set up for the picture. No I'm not that tall. But not a Hobbit either!

That's just the way I set my stand up for the gigs that I paly when I'm standing. When I'm sitting down I've noticed tha tmy pedals don't tent to move much. I think that's because when I'm doing the sitting gigs I playing less energetic music.
Believe it or not but on more than a couple of shows I've actually knocked keyboards over by accident when I was younger and totally into the music!

I've learned a bit since then. Now I just make the audiences ears bleed!

If it's too loud, Yer too old!!!!!!

BTW I'm almost 58!

I said pardon?

You don't have to excuse yourself :-)

I just noticed the small distance between the legs of the stand. When I had an X stand I almost could put my Behringer in between (which is 70 cm, almost 30 inches). However since it didn't fit I bought an A stand.

When it's ste up this way the height of the stand itself is only 37 inches tall. I find that to be a good height for me. Any lower and my wrists are bent a bit backwards. That just hurts. It does tend to leave it a bit narrow for my Kronos 73 in top but I'm not about to knock it over. I hope!
The space between the legs is 12 1/2 inches so it's fairly stable. It was a lot worse with my Triton Pro X 88 key.

Congratulations. You will enjoy and be very happy with your Kronos. Do get a UPS to protect your investment just like you would for any critical computer. You're welcome to check out my Beginners Tutorial video on how to use the Set List function. That's the first thing I learned to use when I got my K. It makes a lot of things very convenient. Also take a look at PCG Tools (see the link in my signature) in case you want to manage your programs/combis/set list slots.

But first enjoy the Kronos!

PCG tools works with Macs if you have Boot Camp or other Windows emulators. I can't seem to be able to install Boot Camp on my Macbook due to some files that can't be moved so unless I erase my disk and re-install my OS I can't use PCG tools presently which I wish that I could. I really like my Kronos X 73 though!

The 73/88 are not good if you are into piano playing. The dynamics are substantially worse. And for playing synth sounds a 61 is better anyway.

I sold my Studiologic 880 and bought the Kronos 73 version. I deeply regret that.
I disagree with this completely.

IMO the keyboard is lovely. And I practiced on a steinway b everyday for 5 years

I think so! All the time I sit down to create new programs or combis I find myself just playing the piano for hours :D

I think it all boils down to what "feels best" and sounds best to your own ears. I'm totally satisfied with the response and feel of my k73. I just works for me.

I am adjusting velocity layers that I've created myself but that that's simply because I have to get used to them in live performance as opposed to rehearsals. Live, I tend to get much more digressive. I've actually broken keyboards when I was younger. Now, I just tend to pound them into oblivion.
