Having a zoom feature would be amazing. Especially if you could have say just 3 slots on the screen in big print. All it would need would be a zoom button somewhere on the screen.
If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!
Gear: Kronos 73, Wavestation EX, Polysix, King Korg, Monotron and Monotron Duo, Minikorg, Moog Grandmother, my very old MiniKorg, 4 acoustic and 9 electric guitars, 1 Ibanez 5 string bass, a Steel guitar, a bunch of microphones, 2 pairs of studio monitors and other very cool toys, 1 wife and 4 cats and a lava lamp!

Something like this:jeremykeys wrote:Having a zoom feature would be amazing. Especially if you could have say just 3 slots on the screen in big print. All it would need would be a zoom button somewhere on the screen.
- Press currently active set list slot
- On the bottom line the active set list slot and previous / next two slots are shown
- On the resulting (top) part a magnified and (multi)line set list slot text description will be shown.
- When pressing on the set list slot again the normal set list (with 16 slots) will be displayed again.

Is this something that your Kronos does or something you would like to see?michelkeijzers wrote:Something like this:jeremykeys wrote:Having a zoom feature would be amazing. I do find that using all upper case letters on the patch names makes it a lot easier to see. And I finally used PCG Tools to sort my Combis in alphabetical order. I wish I did that way earlier as it's so much easier to grab songs on the fly that aren't in my setlist already

In a next version of PCG Tools I hope to add an automatic function to uppercase names since a lot of people seem using it.amosdef wrote:I do find that using all upper case letters on the patch names makes it a lot easier to see. Thanks for the positive words about sorting.

setlist is great but just find it hard to read when your looking for something in a hurry if a song is called out of sequence....!! not every gig is set in stone!

Why not use name consecutive set list slots as e.g. songname1, songname2 etc, and then automatically sort everything alphabetically?

A Setlist search function that works like contacts search on mobile phones would be great. Touch the Search icon, and the keyboard appears. Type in a few letters, and all the setlist entries that contain the characters you have entered appear on the current screen. Once you see the one you want, you touch it and it is selected. Accomplished with a minimum of time and touches. That would be very handy for those unexpected changes in order, or a request do do a song that wasn't on the planned list.
Of course this is something that Korg would have to do, not possible in PCG Tools.
While we're talking about the Kronos user interface. I find the font choice is often hard to read. Especially the 0 and 8. It sure would be nice if the user interface aspects of the Linux-based Kronos OS were open to users to modify. So many minor adjustments of the working could be made by the talented users we have here, which would increase the value of the system to all.

Fully agree it would be a very nice option (also for programs/combis btw). It would be possible in PCG Tools (it is p artly possible), however, after finding the correct patch, you have to manually select it in PCG Tools; also PCG Tools is normally not available on stage (unless you want to have a loptop nearby).timg11 wrote:A Setlist search function that works like contacts search on mobile phones would be great. I think the Korg wants to keep the OS closed, because if problems arise, people will blame Korg and not the (good intented) users making 3th party 'additions or tweaks. Also Korg needs to test everythign themselves if they would allow for tweaks and don't underestimate testing times. It is very time consuming.timg11 wrote: While we're talking about the Kronos user interface. I find the font choice is often hard to read. Especially the 0 and 8. That's great that you're adding that. It wasn't too bad for me to do it manually for my existing songs, but is a good feature to add. For new combis I now save them upper-case by default.michelkeijzers wrote:In a next version of PCG Tools I hope to add an automatic function to uppercase names since a lot of people seem using it.amosdef wrote:I do find that using all upper case letters on the patch names makes it a lot easier to see. It might take some time, not that it's very much work, but I am plannign a major redesign of PCG Tools.amosdef wrote:That's great that you're adding that.
