Korg Kronos Tutorial: 21 Loading DX7 sounds QR

This is part 2 of the Loading and saving sounds tutorial series. (tutorial 20 is part 1).

With the thousends of free DX7 sounds available on the internet you can easely add new sounds to your Kronos. The Kronos can read DX-7 Sysex files and translate them into the MOD-7 engine.

It's really easy to do, and the best part of it is that you can take advantage of the Kronos possibilities on those DX7 sounds. For instance you can add Velocity responsiveness to the sound, or you can add the Kronos effects over the DX7 sounds which makes a huge difference to the original.

This tutorial will show you all the steps of getting the sounds and how to use them in the kronos and add velocity responsiveness and effects to them. That way you have full control yourself on easely adding thousends of new sounds for free to your kronos.

So what will be covered in this tutorial?
- how to download free DX7 sounds from the internet
- how to import those sounds into the Kronos
- how to make DX7 sounds Velocity Responsive
- how to add effects to the DX7 sounds
- how to save them to a new bank of our own

I don't understand. You can load the original PCG directly on Kronos. What's there to convert?

- Load file PCG (OASIS) in KRONOS, and then save it to another directory - it will be a file PCG (Konos).
