Just wanted to say hello to the Kronos users

Post by Night Spirit »

Hello there, just saying hello I am now a Kronos 88 owner quiet happy with it so far. I came to these forums to learn about the instrument and get help on issues if they do come up, since I have read the horror stories as well as seen the youtube posts. Anyway just saying hello and looking forward to learning what this fantastic piece can do for me.

There are many spirits that float to and fro thru the night... You will be a happier spirit now that you have her by your side. Welcome to the party!

thank you thank you for the kind welcomes. I got rather lucky with this find, I originally had a Kurzweil SP2X 88. But for some freak reason it completely died on me, and had to send it back in to sweetwater for repair. They told me would take near 2-3 months to be fixed due to it being discontinued and having to wait on parts to be send it. Needless to say that was not going to work so they did a swap, and after good research and good advice from SW I got this kronos. Honestly I did not think any board could beat the sound of a Kurzweil, it's feel action sound was just soo spot on. Then I played this Kronos the first second I layed my hands on its keys and heard the magic, I dam near crapped my self.

It is amazing, the keys are extra fat really helps out on my scales, not just the fact that it is weighted perfectly, you can really feel the thickness and how solid the keys are. Most keys I have played on that are weighted are decent, but you can feel how hollow, or weak the build of the key is. This thing really hands down is as close to the real thing. But I have WAY to much work ahead of me to learn what this can do. I have always stuck away from complex technology, honestly I am not to bright when it comes to programs and computers. Hell I just learned what quantize is last night after hours of trying to perfectly track my drum parts :(

But again thank you for warm welcome, please forgive the lack of knowledge, I hope to learn this all and get great info from you guys/and girls so I can further my tracks and hopefully produce some really fun songs.
