I got the M3r "battery low" warning...
I was told that if the sounds are lost when I replace it, I can get them back using the Preset Data load function in Global Mode.
My question is - I cannot find that by scrolling through the Global mode, so maybe it only shows up AFTER I lose the sounds [after replacing the battery, which I have not done yet, until I figure this out]
Thanks from a newbie!!

I dont'have an M3R but I can't imagine that menu option is not always available. Tip: download the PDF manual and search for the function, otherwise check the global mode section.
Also, I don't think the memory will be lost when changing the battery.

not ?
Thx for the quick reply...
I saw in another forum where it said the sounds would be lost when changing the battery... but I am almost willing to take the chance and then if they are lost I might find a way to get them back later on.
But for sure I will look for the PDF you suggested.
PS - another site that wants payment for the Battery Replacement Guide says this:
"The sounds also have to be reloaded and certain settings have to be reset."
But maybe they are just trying to get me to buy something I don't need??

You also could try to contact Korg support.
Btw, I have a Triton Extreme who's saying it for more than a few years. I click the warning away but don't see any difference. Maybe the clock is incorrect but never lost sounds because the battery is low (or dead by now).
Of course it's not a guarantee that the battery is different in the M3(r).

The battery is ridiculously easy to change. Just unscrew the cover from the case, and you should be able to find the existing battery and holder quickly. Replace it with a 2032 coin cell. (I have an M1R, not the 3R, but changing the battery should be the same.)
A powered screwdriver is handy for removing the screws on the case.
edit: You shouldn't need to pay for the manual, or battery change instructions.
