The Grey one can be upgraded to 2-02!
As far as I know the Only difference is the Colour...

Don't THINK it's possible!

I read a few months ago that it was possible to get the V.Sample to run at half speed when Synched to the Electribe, some thing to do with "Synch Polarity".... Unfortunately can't find the post but it's on here Somewhere- can't see why it wouldn't work Volca to Volca, if anyone can find the original ...

I had some vaguely erratic behavior from the Kaoss pad when I upgraded to os2.02 (Grey Tribe)- fixed which a pad recalibration!

Aren't Most of the Volcas (except the Sample) Mono?

Yes, you can copy the sound of a part FROM another pattern INTO the pattern that you're in if you see what I mean, slightly klunky way of doing it but once you get used to it it's okay- just make sure you're copying the part sound and not the part!

I feel your pain but it's quite an intuitive little box, after a couple of hours you should be able to find your way around without the instructions.

No you need to Select "Audio in" osc if you want to use the effects on the e2.

It's a fair bit pricier than an Octatrak!

Just Type "Volca Sample Tutorial" into YouTube....
It's a really simple but powerful little box in the right hands, don't be afraid to fiddle with it, I found sample 99 "Doncamatic" a really useful one to mess with while I was working out what was what!....

I've only got the Grey one but it sounds like you've discovered the Voice Stealing feature that Korg thoughtfully included to help you to avoid your mixes becoming too crowded! :wink: :wink: I believe the Black 'Tribe crew are getting around it by re-sampling, I'm sure Sauce did a Video somewhere on ...

Midi Out from Tr-8 to Midi In on one of the Volcas then the other volcas all synched to that!
