If you hand play the drum samples as you record, as opposed to writing them in via the sequencer, it will record your slightly off time (human) loose feel and groove to it. The only drag is that you can't do anything in between.

you can save space by using single cycle waveforms.

You are looking for a program change. In your midi clip, go to your "notes" tab and there is a window with "pgm --". Click on that and type in the number that corresponds with the pattern on your electribe2.
